John Miller joined Highpointe Group in 2006 with both the technical background & up to date experience needed to facilitate transactions and manage the operations in today’s fast paced telecommunications business.John has been in commercial real estate for over 25 years with a specialty of finding prime sites for telecommunications facilities on office building rooftops and towers as well as stealth installations at retail, fast food and hotel/motel locations. His first exposure to telecommunications was in 1983 identifying and selecting strategic tower build-out sites for analog cellular in San Antonio, TX. John selected 16 sites for the first cell company doing business in Central Texas. Over the past twelve years John has worked with wireless industry leaders such as Cellular One, Powertel, Intercel, Sprint Spectrum, AT&T Wireless, Cingular Wireless and Cricket Communications to develop over 850 sites consisting of building rooftops, raw land sites and collocations. As a Director of Network Deployment for Winstar Communications in Dallas/Fort Worth/Austin, he oversaw the operation, leasing and construction of over 500 rooftop and Hub site installations of Winstar’s point-to-point broadband wireless system.
John is a native Texan, played football at Texas A&I, Kingsville and is a Realtor. He looks forward to working with fellow telecommunications & real estate professionals nationwide wanting to maximize the value of their telecom & rooftop assets.
